Miss Barker sees herself dance

Dance and music have such power to evoke strong memories. There is great merit in documenting one’s life through well labelled photos and videos, not only for future generations but to bring back memories and hear the stories directly from aging seniors.

In this video we watch 102 year old Alice Barker see video of herself from the 1930’s when she was a dancer in chorus lines for Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly as well as in the famed Apollo and Zanzibar clubs. With her nails painted and her hands dancing, Miss Baker watches the videos and remembers her love of dance going back to childhood.
